Dipping my toe in traditional portraiture was not something I was comfortable with, but as part of my continuing education, I was tasked with a self portrait in a studio class taught by Grace Graupe Pillard and challenged in an online course in Colorful Portraits by Jane French. Those classes and experimenting gave me a bit more confidence.
